It's the little things...

Have you ever been so at peace with yourself and your life that the sky actually seems bluer, music sounds more beautiful, or you even sing better? Have you ever felt that every day is made especially for you? This is my life right now. I feel like the whole world was made for me. This may sound selfish, but it’s a wonderful way of thinking. It makes you appreciate things so much more. It makes you want to get up in the morning and thank God for every tiny thing that happens. The other day I was driving to work and on the side of the road, in the middle of the country, was a gorgeous teal blue star-shaped balloon. It was in the middle of the grass being held down by something I couldn’t see, just floating there. Normally, I would just think “Huh, that’s strange for a balloon to be out here for no reason.” But now that I see things differently I truly believe God put that there just for me to see. It was the most beautiful blue color I’ve ever seen and it sparkled so bright in the sunshine. That balloon was put there for me to appreciate it, because God knew I would not take it for granted. A few weeks ago I was sitting on my back porch just taking in the view and suddenly a hummingbird flew up to the screen directly in front of me. He was looking right at me, you could say he was staring. He floated there for at least 2 minutes and then flew away. He came back about five minutes later and did the same thing. It was so strange to me because I wasn't making any noise or moving at all when this happened. I'm surprised he even noticed me there. It really was an incredible thing to see and I doubt I will ever forget it. I thanked God for that amazing moment. Things like this happen in my life everyday now. When you appreciate everything in your life and everything that happens to you (even when things seem terrible) then the universe just wants to give you more to appreciate. This is your relationship with the universe. When your spouse appreciates every thing you do for them, no matter how small, it makes you want to keep doing more for them. Everyone loves to feel appreciated and respected. You came from the universe (God) and that’s why you have these feelings. You feel what God feels. So when you appreciate everything that God gives you it just makes him want to give you more.
