2017: new beginnings...

Finally, this year has come. I've been waiting for it with open arms. I can feel it's energy and greatness in my bones. This year is going to be nothing but pure magic in every form. This is the year of new beginnings and paving the road to the best future the universe has to offer. 2017 is a special year because of its numerological meaning. The numbers, when reduced to a single digit, add up to one. Number one represents creating your own future based on what you focus your thoughts on. It's the number of fresh starts, change, and progress. Be sure not to focus your thoughts on the things you don't want. The universe doesn't know likes from dislikes, it only knows energy. Whatever you focus your energy on is what will come to fruition.

In February 2016 I was driving down the road one day and decided to turn down my music for some reason. The volume stopped on number 17. When I saw that number I had a voice in my head that told me this was my lucky number. I had never been into numerology or lucky numbers in my whole life, so I thought this was odd to have that thought. I've had a few life changing things happen on the 17th day of different months. I've also dreamed of this number. The number 17 represents good fortune as well as many other things. It is a sign that I'm on the correct life path and that I should begin a spiritually based practice or career. This was my first encounter with a prominent number and they've only gotten more eminent since.

I've decided that this is the year that is going to pave the road for the incredible future I have in mind. I am open to change and new beginnings. I am open to meeting new people and saying yes to new opportunities. This is the year that my successes start snowballing. I will bring light into every situation I'm faced with. I will find something to love about everyone I meet. I will break down my emotional barriers and show the world just how messy and wonderful I am. I will find love for myself and others.

New years eve is an exciting time. Everyone is buzzing about all the changes to come and the intentions they have for their own betterment. What we don't realize is that we can feel this way everyday. We can countdown the clock every night and celebrate with champagne if we choose to. Every day is special and worth celebrating. Each day brings us new opportunity to be the people we want to be. Just because you break your diet two weeks into January doesn't mean you should be discouraged. Just because you broke your "no cursing" vow fifteen minutes into this year doesn't mean you need to give up. Technically, every day is the start of a new year. If you mess up, just count down the clock that night and celebrate as if it never happened. And don't pay any mind to those people who give you grief for messing up in the first place. They are no better and no worse than you. We're all in the same boat.
